Study Days : Introduction to Palliative Care for Pharmacists

Aims:	The course is designed for pharmacists working in a community or hospital setting. It aims to provide a background to palliative care and focuses on how pharmacists can make effective interventions for their palliative patients. The day will include a mixture of presentations from specialist pharmacists and workshops and will cover both therapeutic and practical issues.
Content:	What is Palliative Care Role of the pharmacist in palliative care Basic symptom management for core symptoms Introduction to the practical use of syringe drivers How to access palliative care drug information Prescribing outside of license
